Dr. Karen Kidder received her BSN from the University of Maryland School of Nursing at Baltimore, WRAIN Center. Her Master of Science in Nursing is from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Karen completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, PA. Karen's military career included medical-surgical nursing, infection control, quality improvement, administration and staff education, with assignments in the United States and Germany. After retiring from the military, she was a school nurse for middle and high schools for seven years, and then worked in skilled nursing and in the emergency department at a small local hospital. Karen has been a lecturer, a clinical instructor, and has taught online.
Karen has been with the University of Saint Mary since August 2010. She is also active in the music and education ministries at her local church.
